Your first SSH connection

  1. Open Quick Connect and type user@host (add :port if the server doesn’t use port 22).
  2. Choose password or key authentication when prompted.
  3. On first connection, SigilTTY shows the server’s host key fingerprint. Verify it and accept to continue — the fingerprint is recorded and checked on every future connection.

A Quick Connect session can be saved as a profile afterwards, so you never retype the details.

  1. Create a new server profile with host, port, username and authentication method.
  2. Credentials are stored in the system Keychain — never in plain text.
  3. Tap the profile to connect. Recent connections appear in your workspace for one-tap access.
